The complete recording of this legendary concert, which includes unreleased live versions of her greatest hits and many other classics, is available for the first time as a numbered Collector’s Edition which has been prepared in close collaboration with the artist.
The best surviving audio sources have been preserved, restored and enhanced in high resolution audio on the occasion of the UNESCO World Day for Audiovisual Heritage.
British legend Petula Clark, who has been living in Geneva (Switzerland) since 1968, has sold over 70 million records, and has played in about 30 films - including two Hollywood productions alongside Fred Astaire and Peter O’Toole - and continues to record and perform around the world.
On the occasion of the World Day for Audiovisual Heritage 2016 celebrated by UNESCO, the United Music Foundation has completed the preservation of the original master tapes of Petula Clark's legendary concerts at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
Miraculously found after extensive research in the U.K. and the U.S., the original master tapes of Petula Clark's legendary concerts at the Royal Albert Hall have been preserved in Geneva in high resolution (24bits/96kHz) by the United Music Foundation.
Regarded as major events and broadcast on radio and TV, these concerts recorded in 1969, 1974 and 1983, which have never been published in their entirety, contain live versions of her international hits as well as many unreleased songs, notably with the London Philharmonic Orchestra.
This preservation project was completed with the collaboration of Petula Clark and her husband and manager Claude Wolff, both living in Geneva, who have opened their archives to the United Music Foundation.
