Petula Clark - A Valentine's Day Concert at the Royal Albert Hall

On the occasion of the UNESCO World Day for Audiovisual Heritage 2018, the United Music Foundation completes the restoration and enhancement of a legendary Petula Clark concert at the Royal Albert Hall in London, on February 14th, 1974.

This outstanding concert, unreleased for the most part, will soon be available in its entirety as a numbered Collector's Edition which is being prepared in collaboration with the artist.

This edition, titled « A Valentine’s Day Concert at the Royal Albert Hall » will mark the 45th anniversary of this legendary concert. It will include 2 CDs, a 40 page hardcover booklet, many rare or unseen pictures, an essay and interviews by journalist Alan Jackson, who has formerly written for the London Times, as well as forewords by personalities such as Stevie Wonder, Tony Hatch, Richard Carpenter, Leslie Bricusse, Burt Bacharach and Francis Lai.

British legend Petula Clark, who has been living in Geneva (Switzerland) since 1968, has sold over 70 million records, and has played in about 30 films - including two Hollywood productions alongside Fred Astaire and Peter O’Toole - and continues to record and perform around the world.

  • The complete concert preserved and restored from the original master tapes and the best surviving audio sources, including many unreleased tracks.
  • Many rare or previously unpublished pictures and an essay by Alan Jackson retracing the historic context of these recordings, as well as interviews of Petula Clark, her husband and manager Claude Wolff, her musical director Frank Owens, and TV director Yvonne Littlewood.
  • Forewords by Stevie Wonder, Tony Hatch, Richard Carpenter, Leslie Bricusse, Francis Lai et Burt Bacharach, as well as an afterword by her son Patrick Wolff.
  • Exclusive code for a free download in 24 bits / 96 kHz Hi-Res Audio.

This Collector's Edition will be available on February 14, 2020.
